Berry Overnight Protein Oats + Chia

Prep the night before and store in fridge

 

Ingredients

● 40g gluten-free porridge oats

● 125ml milk (or preferred choice of unsweetened plant milk) or water

● 1 tsp honey/maple syrup

● 1 heaped tsp chia seeds

● 1 tbsp (15ml) plain Greek yoghurt or Skyr (or plain, unsweetened plant alt.)

● 1 scoop protein powder (if using sweetened protein powder then skip the honey/maple syrup)

● 10 berries (fresh or frozen)

● 1 dessert spoon raw nuts e.g. pecans/ walnuts/ flaked almonds (optional)


 
Instructions

1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl or glass container and stir well together

2. Leave in the fridge overnight

3. Top with nuts just before eating (is using)


 
Variations/Notes

● Try adding ground cinnamon, pumpkin spice or vanilla paste

● Swap ½ grated eating apple instead of berries, or 1/2 chopped pear or kiwi. 

● For a crunch without nuts use pumpkin & sunflower seeds or cacao nibs

● I recommend using plain organic whey protein powder from The Organic Protein Co.
